A day of music, dance, and games

.
The last day of the Roofdogs visit was spent in
a special day of dances, music, and some fun games.
Tia Gloria accompanies the San Jose kids as they sing
Give Thanks and Sing Alleluia to the Lord in English!
Their colorful outfits were for a folkloric dance they did.

The girls from Sagrada Familia
did a more contemporary dance,

but later the guys joined them for a
colorful traditional Peruvian dance.

Little cowboy Juan Diego
is all smiles.

Aren't these some of the prettiest
cowgirls you've ever seen?

A recorder quintet entertains the crowd.

The Sagrada Familia tutors also
prepared a special dance.

Ten of Tia Gloria's piano students give their
first public performance, including Arelis.

Edgar looks tired but happy
after his dance.

The Roofdogs join the kids
in a lively final dance.

Ronald and Waldir watch
some of the games.

In an active game of "keep away",
Waldir, Edgar, and Susana
try to steal each other's clothes pins.

The fans cheer from the sidelines.

Tio Ron enjoys a special time with
brother and sister Javier and Angela.
Daniela and Katiuska are enjoying the activities.

Near the end of the day, the older students from
Sagrada Familia were given "tools of the trade".
Here Tia Tony gives Susana some cosmetology tools,
which Giovanna also received. Manuel was delighted
with his electrician's tools, and Edgar with a chef
outfit. Margot will have her college entrance exam
paid for, plus received a nice backpack.

Team leader Susan Kerr
is given a plaque by Sagrada Familia
in appreciation for all they have done
to support the casas of Arequipa.

After lunch, Tio Ron demonstrates how
to train the new young puppy at Sagrada Familia.
Tio Nozar and Tia Kelly played the role
of a puppy in training...an entertaining
way to get the message across!
